Save our Gulf Coalition
Tonight I spoke at a Community Forum hosted by the Save the Gulf Coalition. This well organised and passionate community activist group are concerned about the potential impact of the planned desalination plant at Pt Stanvac in Adelaide on the health of near shore marine environments in the Gulf St Vincent.
At the end of my presentation I asked:
Is diversity of supply for Adelaide important?
Do we need a supply that is independent of climate?
How much risk to human health are we willing to accept?
How much risk to environmental values are we willing to accept?
If the plant can be carbon neutral, is that ok?
How much would we be prepared to pay?
For those of you who attended, what did you think of the talks? What are your key concerns? Do you have information you can add to the debate? What should happen next?

I think I wish I was there!
Unfortunately I could not attend – was any audio recorded?
Are there any photos from the night?
I would like to get a sense of what it was like to be there
